Tabuya in Frame for Attorney-General Role
Minister for Information Lynda Tabuya could be among the candidates being considered for the Attorney-General’s position, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says.
Asked whether Tabuya was among the potential candidates, Rabuka said she “could be one of them.”
Rabuka said the government was looking for someone with a strong understanding of the law, sufficient experience and the professional judgement required for the office.
He stressed the importance of choosing a person capable of handling the position’s legal responsibilities.
No appointment has been confirmed, and Rabuka has not indicated when a decision will be announced.
