Employment Ministry to Launch WorkHub to Cut Paperwork

Employment Ministry to Launch WorkHub to Cut Paperwork

The Ministry of Employment, Productivity and Workplace Relations is preparing to launch WorkHub, a new digital system designed to reduce paperwork and streamline internal operations.

WorkHub will give staff online access to three integrated platforms covering overtime and vehicle requests, internal minute submissions and a centralised document repository.

Permanent Secretary Maritino Nemani said the initiative would help staff manage administrative tasks more efficiently and devote more time to serving the public.

“Digital transformation is not simply about introducing new technology. It is about improving the way we work, reducing unnecessary administrative processes and ensuring our staff have the tools they need to perform their duties effectively,” he said.

Nemani said moving these processes online would improve accessibility and support a more responsive and accountable public service.

“Ultimately, these improvements will allow our officers to dedicate more time and resources towards delivering services to the people of Fiji.”

Staff from Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Labasa and Savusavu have undergone training ahead of the rollout.

Nemani acknowledged those involved in developing and implementing WorkHub, along with staff participating in the training.

The system forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing digitisation programme and is expected to be officially launched within the next two weeks.
