Tabuya Out of AG Race as PM Confirms Another Name
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has ruled out Lynda Tabuya for the Attorney-General’s position, saying another name has been submitted for consideration.
Speaking to the media today, Rabuka confirmed that Tabuya was no longer being considered.
“It’s not Lynda. Another name has gone up for this portfolio,” he said.
The announcement follows earlier indications that Tabuya was among the candidates being assessed. She had expressed confidence in her qualifications and willingness to serve in the role.
Rabuka did not identify the other candidate in his latest remarks. A final decision on Fiji’s next Attorney-General remains pending.
