Vosarogo Inspires Farmer with Home Garden

Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Filimoni Vosarogo has been praised by farmer Hazrat Ali, who says the Minister’s TikTok videos of his home gardening inspired him to take up farming.

Speaking during a public gathering, Ali said he regularly watched Vosarogo’s videos showing him working in his garden after office hours.

“I appreciate how our Minister, after the office, he goes and does farming for his family in the garden,” Ali said.

Ali explained that he previously lived in a residential area where he had little opportunity to farm.

However, after acquiring agricultural land with approximately 84 years remaining on its lease, he decided to venture into farming despite having no previous experience.

“When I started, I was a very new farmer. I did not even know how to start a tractor,” he said.

Ali revealed that he had since harvested approximately 220 tonnes of grain, crediting Vosarogo’s example as an inspiration.

“Through your inspiration,” he told the Minister.

His experience demonstrates how sharing everyday activities on social media can encourage others to explore agriculture and make productive use of their land.
